Soul Kinda Wonderful present the Official Number 1 tribute to The Drifters at The Courtyard this September.

Soul Kinda Wonderful relights the magic of a golden era. Audiences can shuffle the night away and dance like it’s a Saturday Night at The Movies with the band that celebrates the music and songs of the legendary Drifters and Motown.

As well as gaining followers across the county, Richie and the group have also won the National Tribute Music Awards three times, most recently in 2017. The Motown band is highly regarded as the best Drifters tribute act in the UK. Soul Kinda Wonderful, led by Richie Sampson, is also the backing group for soul legend George McCrae on world tours.

Founded in 1953 by George Treadwell and Clyde McPhatter, The Drifters delivered numerous hits on both sides of the Atlantic that saw them inducted into the ‘Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’ and were listed by Rolling Stone Magazine as one of the ‘100 Greatest Artists of all time’ in 2004.

With hits such as Come on Over to My Place, Under the Boardwalk and Save The Last Dance For Me, The Drifters music is guaranteed to get audiences up on their feet and dancing the night away.

Audiences can upgrade their ticket for £7.95 and enjoy prosecco and sweet treats during the interval.

Soul Kinda Wonderful presents: The Drifters will be in The Courtyard’s Main House on Tuesday 10 September at 7.30pm. To book tickets, or for more information contact the Box Office on 01432 340555 or visit www.courtyard.org.uk.
