UK chief commissioner, Tim Kidd, attended the District Gang Show over Easter and made a very special presentation to one of the long standing volunteers, Gus Edwards.
The Silver Wolf is the Scout Association's highest award for volunteers and is only presented for service of a most exceptional nature.
Gus joined Holmer Scout Group in 1941 and has been Scouting ever since.
His long and distinguished involvement in Scouting has seen him become a King's Scout, a leader at home and abroad in Hong Kong, an adult trainer and various other roles, lately becoming Holmer Group's honorary president.
Well done Gus, truly an inspiration to all.
