On Sunday, November 11th the bells of Bredwardine Church will ring out at 5:30pm to commemorate the end of the first World War. Then everyone os warmly invited to our free Armistice Commemorative Village Supper in Bredwardine village hall at 6:00pm. Come and enjoy a hearty meal of jacket potatoes with choice of fillings, followed by a choice of traditional winter puddings. Reverend Luci Morriss will be with us, to propose a toast to the ‘Fallen’, particularly remembering all those who dies during the Great War, and to say Grace before the meal begins. There will be a choice of free drinks, and the hall will be full of vintage decorations and a small display of photos and articles relating to Tom Gammond, who dies on September, 16th 1915 and who is buried in the churchyard. The evening ends with a group photo, to record those living in our village a hundred years on from the Great War.
