Further plans have been unveiled for a Hereford cocktail bar and multi-scene nightclub.

A recent notice of application has revealed that the former Play nightclub premises on Blue School Lane will now be known as Trilogy, following an investment of more than £600k from national bar and nightclub operators Epic Bars and Clubs.

Various changes to the club have been proposed in the notice including the creation of three new bars, one of which will be installed in the smoking area to serve revellers outdoors.

The applicants also want a new wall to be put up in the current main room to create a space for ‘Botanic’, a cocktail bar separate from the rest of the premises.

As well as Botanic, Trilogy will also house multi scene nightclub Labyrinth and a Disco Disco party room complete with illuminated dancefloor.

Additionally, they want to remove the condition that reads ‘When licensed for licensable activities to 0400hrs, last entry will be 0230hrs. On days when non-standard times apply, the last entry time will be 0330hrs.”

Earlier this year Epic chief executive officer Mark Shorting said the project has been months in the making and that the company is thrilled to bring its brand of magic to Hereford.

"We really have got something extraordinary planned and I can’t wait for everyone to see it," he said.

"Not only are big nights out in Hereford coming back, but we will make them undeniably better than ever.”

Trilogy is planned to open later this year.
