AN EXPERT health and safety group from Herefordshire is celebrating winning a prestigious and coveted award for the sixth year in a row.
Herefordshire Health and Safety group was founded in 1968 and is one of some 70 similar voluntary groups involving small and medium-size businesses across the UK.
The aim of these groups is to raise awareness of occupational health, safety and environmental issues and are supported nationally under the umbrella of Safety Groups UK and and associated with the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.
In Herefordshire, the group offers advice and assistance to its members through regular seminars, emails and newsletters and has won the prestigious Safety Groups UK Excellence Gold Award for the sixth year running.
The county group hosts regular seminars, which it organises for members, covering a wide range of subjects reflecting current health, safety and environmental issues.
The group’s next seminar is set to take place on Wednesday, November 23.
