COFFEE - Tomorrow (Friday) at 10am, Betty Williams is holding her annual coffee morning in aid of Macmillan, at her home The Wainhouse, near Eardisley Church. There will be a variety of plants, cakes, preserves and bric-a-brac, as well as a raffle. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be served as part of the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

FASHIONS - Tickets are available at Eardisley Post Office for the fashion show in St Mary Magdalene Church on October 5, starting at 7pm for 7.30pm. Tickets cost £6, which includes a glass of wine. The clothes are made locally and buyers will be able to try them on.

EARDISLEY C@P - For an annual payment of £20 it is possible to become a member of this group, entitling members to use the drop-in centre, training courses, broadband, printing facilities, laptops and more. Call Sue King on 01544 327736 for information.

WHIST - The first event in the autumn season took place at the New Strand on September 17. There was an excellent attendance and prizes were won by Mary Gates, Gwen Farmer, Phil Farmer, Chris Horton, Margaret Goode and Rose Howells. The next drive will be on October 15, starting at 7.45pm.
