COFFEE - Almeley WI’s coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support is in St Mary’s Church tomorrow (Friday) and not in the village hall as previously announced.
WHIST - Another successful whist drive took place in the village hall on September 18.
Prizes were won by Connie Stinchcombe, Muriel Fenton, Anne Preece, Evelyn Exton, Terry Beaumont, Mario Battenti, Marge Phillips Olive Howells and Clive Edwards. The next whist drive is on Tuesday at 7.45pm.
LUNCH - On Sunday there will be a threecourse lunch in the village hall, 12.30pm for 1pm, £9.50 with concessions for children.

FLICKS IN THE STICKS - The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (12) is to be shown in the village hall today (Thursday) at 7.45pm. Doors open 7pm and a bar is available. Admission £4 for adults, £2.50 for children.
ORGANIC FARM SHOP - The shop, which has served the community for 25 years, will close on Sunday. Best wishes go to the Glyn- Jones family for all their good work.
