ROYAL BRITISH LEGION - The next meeting of Eardisley and District branch is in the New Strand today (Thursday) at 8pm. Members of the public will be welcome to attend at 8.30pm when Lt Col Forrest will be speaking on the subject of the Falklands.
CHURCHES - Speakers at the 11am services at Eardisley Methodist Church in September will be Rev Deanne Evans (9), Les Beers (16), Rev Jon Chesworth (23) to include holy communion, and Rev John Walgrave (30).
BAZAAR - The summer bazaar at St Mary Magdalene Church raised £1,010. The quarterly draw prize winners were Claire Layton, Avril Killick, Jean Sharples, Anthony Davies, Mr and Mrs Hesp, Mr and Mrs D Layton, Mr S Hatcher, Alison Crum, Peter Bishop and Mrs K Farr.
COUNCIL - The next meeting of the group parish council is on September 17 in the village hall. One of the items on the agenda is the neighbourhood plan.
PACT MEETING - Members of the local policing team will be at the Central Stores from 12.30pm-1pm on September 17.
EARDISLEY TENNIS CLUB – At the Family Fun Day, on September 16, from 3pm, there will be something for everyone including a bouncy castle, balloon volleyball, fun games and competitions, along with a pork roast and other refreshments.
