LUCTON farmers are celebrating after their heifer was judged first in class and ultimate maiden champion heifer at the recent Pedigree Welsh Black Cattle Show and Sale.
Lucton Ellen 2nd, owned by Chris and Meg Thorpe, took the honours at the event, at Llandovery, and went on to achieve the highest priced female of the day, selling to a breeder from near Carmarthen.
