BARE Bones end their second touring season with a much-loved piece by John Godber.

September in the Rain is based upon the lives of the playwright's grandparents and all of the incidents portrayed are real, recounting the events of Godber's childhood.

Since their wedding, Jack, a Yorkshire miner, and his wife, Liz, have spent each September holidaying in Blackpool. Now in retirement, they re-visit the scene of those holidays and re-live the joys, the frustrations, the laughter and tears of an ordinary marriage.

Here is the English seaside holiday with all its trimmings, set against a backdrop of Blackpool in its heyday.

You can catch this production on tour at Savoy Theatre, Monmouth (October 27-28); Weobley Village Hall (November 4); Fownhope New Memorial Hall (November 10-11); Upton Bishop Millennium Hall (November 17-18) and Llanthony Village Hall (December 2).
