MARKET - Fownhope farmers’ market is tomorrow (Friday) from 3pm-5pm in the village hall with local produce and crafts including fresh meat, cheese, vegetables, cakes, cards, books and more. Light refreshments available.
COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD - Who are the people who have given most in recent years to help to make Fownhope a lively, vibrant and caring community? The parish council’s final celebration for the Queen’s jubilee year will be an event to thank those who have made a difference in any aspect of village life – leisure, sport, village clubs, the church or business. Nominations need to be in writing by letter or on the nomination form available from chairman David Clark at 2 Ringfield Drive, or from clerk Mel Preedy on 01432 769480. Nominations must reach the council by August 31.
