COLOURFUL Welsh singer Charlotte Church will present her new sound in Ludlow, when she brings her first ever UK tour to the Assembly Rooms on Sunday, August 26.

The former child star will tour venues across the UK introducing her bold and unique new sound.

Several venues have already sold out and the arts centre is advising people to book quickly so as not to miss out.

The standing concert in Ludlow promises to provide a night to remember and organisers have asked audiences to “leave preconceptions at the door” as Charlotte presents her new sound.

The How The Light Gets In Festival based in Hay-on-Wye has described Charlotte’s new tone as “a cross between Florence Welch and Kate Bush” and her promoters agree this is an accurate description.

The star, who has sold over 10 million records in the course of a career that has seen her sing for the Pope and at the White House, said: “‘I’m so looking forward to the upcoming shows, so far we’ve had an absolute blast.

“The audience reaction has been incredible, which has been intensely gratifying.”
