BOWLS - Eardisland Bowling Club had a dramatic finish to Sunday’s match at Ledbury with the final rink not quite managing the required number of shots to snatch an unlikely victory, the club eventually losing 67 shots to 71. Gill Williams skipped Joan Stokes, Mavis Tantrum and Mike Fenn, to a superb 23-11 win to record the only Eardisland rink win. On Thursday Eardisland hosted a young and talented Presteigne side and again the result was in doubt until the final wood with the home side snatching a thrilling 76-76 draw, despite having three losing rinks. Skip Tony Stokes, Mavis Tantrum, Martin Richards and Mike Fenn were the heroes, winning their rink 30 shots to 11.
