CHURCHES - There will be a service of holy communion at 11am on Sunday at Aymestrey Church and on July 8 the communion service will be at 9.30am at Aymestrey.
PHOTOGRAPHS - The winners of the photograph competition held in conjunction with the introduction of the parish plan were: first Mary Heale, second Pat Cartwright and third Mary Heale.
FETE - Aymestrey Village Fete will be on July 21 in the orchard behind the village hall from 1pm. Arena events start with wacky races followed by the fun dog show. There will be stalls and traditional games plus a tug-ofwar.
The produce competition will be in a marquee in the orchard, open for entries from 12.45pm-1.30pm. Judging will start at 1.45pm. Schedules for the produce show and the rules for the dog show can be found in the forthcoming edition of Aymestrey Matters, the parish newsletter. Stallholders and anyone who is able to help with setting up are asked to meet on July 20 at 10am at the village hall.
