CRICKET CLUB - The sun shone on the immaculate wicket on Spearmarsh Common as Almeley Cricket Club celebrated its diamond jubilee. This little club has made great strides over recent years, and now plays in division two of the Marches League. The President’s XI narrowly beat the Chairman’s XI in a fun game. After a buffet in the village hall, club friend and mentor Sir John Cotterell made a short speech congratulating the club on its achievements. President John Molker and a few others also spoke.
