BULMERS is to celebrate its 125th Anniversary with a celebration at The Cider Museum.
The company will be unveiling a new exhibition chronicling its history. Then on Saturday June 9 and Sunday June 10 the museum will open its doors for free for the local community to come along and celebrate.
Highlights include restaging the tradition of the weighing of the mayor balanced against cider.
"The tradition of weighing the mayor has sadly been lost over the years but we feel now it is the time to reintroduce this event," said Gabe Cook, cider communications manager from Bulmers..
"The monetary value of the mayor’s equivalent weight in cider will be donated to a Herefordshire charity."
Bulmers are also appealing for owners of their old vehicles, who are interested in placing them outside the museum over the weekend, to come forward.
They are also looking for a set of balance scales for the weighing of the mayor.
To help with these appeals call Margaret Thompson at the museum on 01432 354207.
