CHURCHES - During Holy Week there will be a procession of the cross following the walks held through Lent. Tomorrow (Good Friday) assemble at Eardisley Church to walk to Almeley at 2pm. The service will be at 3pm.
At 8pm the service at Eardisley will commemorate the burial of Jesus. On Easter Sunday there will be a service with Holy Communion in St Mary Magdalene Church at 9.30am. Methodist church services are held at 11am and preachers in April will be Rev Jon Chesworth on 8th, Mr J Smith 15th, Jones W/L 22nd and Rev S Stoke 29th. There will be a spring coffee morning and bringand- buy in the chapel on April 17, from 10am until noon. Everyone is welcome.
MENINGITIS TRUST - Ann and Derek Terry will be hosting their annual coffee morning and bring-and-buy at their home, Ridgeway Great Oak, on April 13, from 10am.
ROYAL BRITISH LEGION - The speaker at the monthly meeting of Eardisley and district branch today (Thursday) will be Mrs Joyce Banbury.
VILLAGE HALL - When Eardisley Community Library was launched in the village hall on March 27 it was gratifying to see more than 40 readers enrol. John Henschel acted as librarian. It is hoped to make this a monthly meeting. New members will be very welcome.
LUNCH - The next Sunday lunch will be on April 15. Tickets can be bought at the village stores.
