LENT LUNCH - There will be a Lent lunch at Idalilian, Burley Gate, from noon tomorrow (Friday). There will be no fixed charge but donations are invited. The host will be Barbara Priest and all proceeds will go Dogs for the Disabled.
DIAMOND JUBILEE - Burley Gate Village Hall committee is holding a meeting at the hall at 7.45pm on Wednesday to discuss local celebrations for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. All local groups and organisations are welcome to attend and to be involved in planning various events. Anyone unable to attend but who would like to volunteer can call Jo Monkley on 01432 820130.
RESOURCE CENTRE - Ocle Pychard Group Parish Council has been awarded a grant of £700 from Herefordshire Council’s Community Pride grant fund for the purchase of a printer and collator following the closure of Bromyard Resource Centre at the end of March. With additional funding from the three local councils, the centre’s equipment will be transferred to Burley Gate Village Hall and will be known as the Burley Gate Resource Centre. The equipment will be operated as a community facility and will be used to print the community newsletter and possibly newsletters for other parishes.
