Warming: Volunteers from Herefordshire Council, emergency services and voluntary groups have packed around 300 cold weather packs paid for by the Warm Homes Healthy People grant
A GRANT of almost £200,000 will help vulnerable people in Herefordshire stay warm in their own homes.
Herefordshire Council’s private sector housing team have successfully bid, in partnership with 10 voluntary groups, for money from the Department of Health’s Warm Homes Healthy People fund.
The £187,000 will be used to provide a range of support, inclduing cold weather packs which consist of thermal hats, gloves and slippers.
