MARKET - This Saturday’s Knighton food and craft market will be the only market this month due to the Knighton Carnival on August 27 falling on the same weekend. The market will be held at the Knighton Community Centre from 9.30am till 1pm with new stalls booked to make a full market. More details can be found on www.kfcmarket.com KNIGHTON SHOW AND CARNIVAL - For those entering the creative writing competition in the Knighton Show, entries have to be in by this Saturday .
COFFEE MORNING - There will be a coffee morning at Knighton Baptist Chapel schoolroom on August 18 from 10am till 11.30am. At the event there will be drinks, bric a brac, toy and cake stalls. Entry free, there will be a box for donations.
CHURCH SERVICES FOR SUNDAY - Knighton Methodist Church 11am led by Mr S.J. Dalton. Knighton Baptist Church 11am led by Rev Maggie Rich. Knighton Catholic Church 11am Celebration of Holy Mass. St David’s Church, Whitton 10.30am, East Radnor Group Service led by the Bishop.
AIR Ambulance DONATION - John Lewis from Griffin Lloyd near Llangunllo recently held his birthday celebration. His guests gave donations to the Air Ambulance instead of gifts and £715 was donated. This will be divided between the Wales and Midland Air Ambulances. John thanked all his guests for their generous donations.
