WITHINGTON WEEKEND - On June 11 between noon and 2pm there will be a school fete with stalls, events, Dolloway Dancers, barbecue, maypole dancing and bouncy castle. Between 11am and 4.30pm (also noon to 2.30pm on June 12) St Peter's Church has an exhibition of vintage farm tractors, equipment and tools as well as floral displays, live music, tea and cakes. At 5pm in the village hall and fields the grand opening of play builder equipment will take place with games, barbecue, beer and soft drinks and a balloon race. On June 12 between 11am and noon there will be a service at St Peter’s Church to lay down the old Royal British Legion standard and dedicate the new one. On the village fields there will be an exhibition of vintage military vehicles.

Between noon and 3pm there will be the Withington FC junior football tournament, at 2pm school maypole dancing, at 3pm Bromyard Wind Band will play and at 4pm the Royal British Legion’s 90th birthday “raise a glass” celebrations.
