LUNCH - Visit the inSPIRE Wednesday café, 12.30pm to 3.30pm, and have a cuppa and a piece of home-made cake or a sandwich lunch at St Peter’s Church and Centre. The branch library is also open 1.30pm to 4.30pm so you could choose a book at the same time. Have you a youngster of primary school age with a birthday coming up shortly? St Peter’s Church and Centre is an ideal venue.
It is available at the special rate of £11 per afternoon session with use of crockery and furniture, lighting and heating included.
Golden Valley COMMUNITY CENTRE - The centre will be holding a quiz and pudding evening tomorrow (Friday) starting at 7pm. A bar will also be provided.
Teams of up to four members are welcome at £5 a head. Funds will go to the centre.
DIARY - Future events at Golden Valley Community Centre include a summer music festival with barbecue on June 17, and the popular local history day from 10am to 4pm on July 2.
