BORDERLINES FILM FESTIVAL - On Saturday, St Peter’s will be showing films as a part of Borderlines Film Festival. At 2pm the film will be The Secret Of Kells (PG), 75 minutes. As the film is the story of the famous illuminated Book of Kells, Mrs Maureen Bowran will be mounting a small exhibition of her copies of books relating to the medieval Books of Hours. At 7.30pm see Lourdes (U), 99 minutes long, the story of Christine, an MS sufferer and religious sceptic, who sets out in hope of finding spiritual comfort or bodily cure. CONCERT - Among many. On April 1, beginning at 7.30pm there will be a concert at St Peter’s Centre and Church at Peterchurch featuring Manu Song and Jeremy Creighton-Herbert with Among Many, an exciting nine-piece world music/newfolk band. DAFFODIL WALK - On April 9, there will be a Daffodil Walk in aid of St Peter’s Church. The day, costing £5 per head, will begin with a soup and bread lunch at Hazel Jones’ home at Y Wen Barn. It will be signposted from the Nags Head Inn on the B4348 on the Hay-on-Wye side of the village. Everyone who wishes can then take a guided walk through private woodlands – not a long walk, but it could be muddy.Then back to Hazel’s home for a cup of tea and a piece of homemade cake.
