A GROUP of people, young and old, have used street art to brighten up fire damaged buildings in Hereford's High Town.
Scaffolding and safety hoardings were erected around the site of the former Card Factory after the huge blaze in October.
The site was labelled an eyesore by some shoppers – and so a community art project called art360 moved in to improve the area.
“As there were so many health and safety signs from the building companies already there, which obviously had to stay, we decided to make more signs and go for just black to make them more distinctive,” said Jan Trewin, from art360.
“A really wide range of people took part, aged from three years to over 80, and they had a great time.”
The project team is now working in partnership with Herefordshire Council and has opened an empty shop in Bridge Street to be used for art work.
