GUIDELINES for planning proposals on the Welsh border could change in the next four years as a new land use development plan is devised.
Powys County Council plans to develop a clear strategy for the entire county, apart from areas within the National Park, to last until 2025.
Councillor Wynne Jones, board member for development and planning policy, said: "This plan is really important for the county because it will guide growth and development within our communities while protecting sensitive environments.”
Preliminary stages will see sites for proposed development or other land uses, such as open space and recreation, submitted by landowners, residents, developers and community councils between February 14 and May 6 2011.
