BILL MCADAM HISTORY GROUP - Tomorrow (Friday) Penny Platt gives a talk on the history of cider and the variety of flavours that come from the cider apple. On December 3, John Harvey will give a talk on the Kymin and the Navy Memorial. Everyone is welome to attend at 7.30pm at Hilston Park.

MARKET - Skenfrith Village Hall will be selling the best produce from the area from 10am to 1pm on Saturday. Free parking. On December 11 there will be a special Christmas produce market including poultry, trees, food, wine, cider, mulled wine, mince pies and carol singers with an outdoor craft market selling gifts and Christmas presents.

LLANGATTOCK PLOUGHING SOCIETY - A promise auction will be held at Llanarth Village Hall on Thursday November 18, at 7.30pm to raise funds for the 2011 All Wales Ploughing and Hedging Championships at Shire Newton. Promises include clay pigeon shooting training, seasoned oak firewood, lunch and dinners at local pubs plus many more. Entry is £3 including refreshments and a buyer number.

SUPPER CLUB - Skenfrith Village Hall is holding an Italian supper night with music, entertainment, fun and food on November 26. Call 01600 750255 to reserve a ticket, £10 for adults and £5 for children.

YOGA - Yoga classes are held every Wednesday from 6pm to 7.30pm at Skenfrith Village Hall. Everyone is welcome.
