DANCE CLASSES - Middle Eastern Dance Classes in the Golden Valley.

Middle Eastern dance (also known as Raqs Sharki, Arabic or bellydance) is an ancient dance form practised by and for women and is gaining in popularity across the UK. It strengthens the core muscles, improving tone and stamina, and is a fun, feminine and expressive way to improve fitness, wellbeing and confidence.

Classes are suitable for all ages (14+), sizes and fitness levels and you do not need previous dance experience. Tutor Abbie Mason (Alanya) holds a Diploma in Teaching Arabic Dance and teaches and performs throughout the county.

Classes include a thorough warm up and cool down; technique, dance moves and choreography. Middle Eastern dance also has a strong social culture, and you will have the opportunity to attend dance parties and shows, meet new friends and learn from other local teachers.

Classes are held at St Peter’s Centre, Peterchurch, on Monday evenings, from 7-8.30pm. You can attend on a drop-in (£7 per class) or regular (£25 per 5-session block) basis.
