BUDDING film-makers could get work showcased at the 2012 Olympics via a special workshop in Hay-on- Wye.
Youngsters are being encouraged to create their own short film summing up the values of the event for the countrywide Film Nation: Shorts competition.
Locally, those aged 14 to 16 can find out more about the contest and learn about film-making from the experts during this year’s Hay Festival of British Cinema in September.
Submissions are open until October 1 and various awards will be made to the best new talent in the run up to the Olympics, while the overall winner’s work will be screened at the games to an audience of millions.
