PEOPLE living in two market towns are about to discover where 1,100 homes could be built.

Herefordshire Council will reveal its preferred plans for new housing in Ledbury and Bromyard this month.

The decision comes five months after hundreds of residents took part in the Shaping Our Place 2026 consultation.

The results will form the Core Strategy, or local plan, which confirms where development should take place in Herefordshire.

Residents are urged to comment on 25-year plans for around 900 homes in Ledbury earlier this year. Around 500 are planned north of the viaduct, while the football club and land outside the bypass were also suggested.

Bromyard councillors provisionally backed plans for around 250 houses north of the town in February.

Planning officers will reveal their preferences at two meetings, with feedback going towards a final planning document.

The first takes place on Thursday, July 15, at Ledbury Primary School, with the second on July 22 at the Royal Oak on the Bromyard Downs.
