Hereford United 0 Bournemouth 2
HEREFORD did not enjoy the greatest of fortune as they wound up their programme in the Football League Youth Alliance South West Conference with a home defeat - and finished the campaign without a win.
Hereford held their own until the interval and, for only the second time this season, reached half-time without conceding a goal.
They might, in fact, have taken the lead when a header from Adam Worton was blocked on the goal-line by one of his own players.
After the break the tall Bournemouth striker, who had caused problems throughout the first half, opened the scoring when he flicked a throw into the net on the hour.
Pete Myles was out of luck when his fierce shot came back off the bar and another powerful drive, this time by Worton, was superbly turned away by the Bournemouth goalkeeper.
The keeper produced another fine save from Myles before Bournemouth sealed the points 10 minutes from time with a shot which was deflected past debutant goalkeeper Tom Sheppard.
