HEREFORD Fly Fishing Club held their first trip of the season to the nearby Witcombe Water fishery just outside Gloucester last Sunday.
Fourteen anglers braved the blustery conditions to catch a total of 74 trout, which included nine bag limits of six fish.
Results: 1 Ian Peberdy 18lb 6oz, 2 John Mathieson 15-8, 3 Peter Norman 15-5, 4 Jason Furnival 15-3.
The best trout of the day also fell to Ian Peberdy with a fine specimen of 3lb 12oz.
