THEY say the early bird catches the worm and this is proving true for businessmen and women who attend the chamber of commerce's business breakfasts.

Networking has always been a key benefit of the Chamber of Commerce Herefordshire and Worcestershire, with most members citing it as one of the main reasons for joining.

In response to requests, the chamber has launched an extensive spring/summer programme of breakfasts.

Already they are proving very popular, with dozens of people turning out for a buffet breakfast and a chance to mingle with their peers, make contacts and form relationships.

In a departure from previous practice, the events are being held in the same location each month.

"It seems to be working really well," said Lisa Tubb, membership and business development manager.

"We found accessible, well-known locations so people get to know the route, the parking, the facilities and so on. We have had a lot of good feedback.

"We also find people like the breakfast format as it enables them to do some networking and still get to the office in time to do their day's work."

There are two more business breakfasts, from 7.45-9.30am, lined up at The Courtyard, Hereford, for Wednesday, May 3, and Wednesday, June 7.
