A National wave of prayer will be kick-started by the Mothers' Union in Bromyard at noon on Friday, April 21.
The Mothers' Union is the largest women's organisation in the world and the Hereford division has split into groups to pray for friends in Africa.
Freda Davies, local president of the MU, said: "It will be an intensive five days, a wave of prayer from here to Africa."
The MU has also produced a leaflet for worship so members can take part at home and the group will be fundraising for their African counterparts.
One aim is to provide goats for women in Burundi who have been widowed as a result of conflict there.
"A goat ensures milk for themselves and their children. We've got a recipe for goat cakes as one fundraising idea," said Mrs Davies.
