STUDENTS from a Kington School have appeared in court and are facing a further trial in Cardiff.
But they have done nothing worse than to win their way through to the regional final of a mock trial competition.
The pupils, from the Lady Hawkins School, took the part of magistrates, solicitors, witnesses and court staff.
The exercise was all part of an initiative to give school students a better of idea of how courts and the criminal justice system works.
The youngsters will go forward to the next round in the Welsh capital next May.
