HEREFORDSHIRE athlete Sarah Waldron competed in the National Cross Country Championships at Parliament Hill Fields, London, to take on the best over the 5,000-metre course which is considered one of the toughest in the country.
Although feeling under-par, 17-year-old Waldron finished 21st in 21 mins 20 secs in a field of 103 in the under-20 race. She had to take a stop when unwell and this cost her around 20 secs.
