Adventurous motorcyclists are needed to ride from Ledbury to the Swedish twin-town of Stromstad, on behalf of St Michael's Hospice.

Organisers are asking people to step forward as soon as possible so that a date for the ride can be fixed.

Fundraiser Mike Pullin, said: "People may recall that in 2002, with Mike Marshall and Frank the horse, we completed a journey from Ledbury to London, raising over £12,500 for the hospice.

"We are now contemplating visiting Ledbury's twin-town, to raise more money for the same good cause and we are looking for motorcyclists to share our adventure."

The horse-drawn effort is still pulling in the pounds.

Mr Pullin said: "The film of Frank's Journey alone has made £3,000 to date."

Copies are still on sale to the public and to sell even more, Mr Pullin is planning a series of presentations based on Frank's Journey.

He said: "If there are any WI groups, for instance, who would like to see the film, we would be happy to talk to them."

Despite the fame of their horse-powered fundraising, Mr Pullin and his fellow fundraisers are no strangers to long motorbike journeys.

He said: "We have successfully taken a group of motorcyclists to Hereford's twin towns of Vierzon in France and Dillenburg in Germany."

Anyone wishing to join the motorcade or those seeking a copy of Frank's Journey should phone 01981 240544 or 01432 890616.
