Staff and pupils at Gorsley Goffs Primary School are celebrating a good Ofsted report.
The report said the school's performance was an endorsement of headteacher Richard Humphrey's leadership and direction.
Dr Ruth Bailey, chairman of governors, said: "We are thrilled with this report, which reflects the tremendous work and effort of Mr Humphrey, all the staff and governors."
In 18 out of 26 categories, standards were judged to be good and the rest were considered satisfactory.
Inspectors asked for efforts to further raise standards in maths and to give guidance to pupils and parents as to where improvements are required.
Inspectors said the quality of teaching is having a positive impact and pupils' learning is sound.
