FLOODLIGHTS - Presteigne St Andrews Football Club are officially opening their floodlights on Monday, February 13. To commerate this occaision they will be playing TNS (Total Network Solutions) current Welsh Premier League champions, at 7.30pm. At 6.45pm John Toshack (Welsh National team manager) will be officially 'switching on' the lights. Everyone is welcome to the match. Admision is £3 for adults, £2 for pensioners and £1 for under 16s. The purchase of the floodlights was only made possible by the generous donations from local businesses and friends of the club.

RACE NIGHT - Evenjobb Village Hall Committee invite everyone to their race night on Saturday, February 18, from 7.30pm to raise money for hall funds. ANNUAL MEETING - Presteigne Cricket Club are holding their annual meeting at the Royal British Legion on Wednesday, February 22, at 7.30pm. All officials, supporters, players, and potential supporters are welcome.

VALENTINE DANCE - The Eagle Hotel in New Radnor are holding a Valentine's Dance featuring The Rivalry on Friday, February 17, at 9pm.

DINNER DANCE - Lingen Village Hall are holding a Valentine Dinner Dance this Saturday at 8pm. Tickets are £18, which includes a glass of bubbly and are available from Penny on 01544 260170 or Jill on 01544 267300.

CHURCH SERVICE - Presteigne St Andrew's Church are holding Holy Communion this Sunday, at 11am.

IAN MARCHANT - A reminder that Ian Marchant best known in Presteigne as compere of Sheep Music and in the duo Your Dad will be telling tales and reading stories from his forthcoming book on Sunday in the Assembly Rooms at 3pm, admission is £3 on the door.

LIVE MUSIC - Beverley Smith and Carl Jones plus support are performing this Saturday at New Radnor Community Centre from 7.45pm. Admission is £5 and can be booked in advance on 01544 350407.

ANGELLO DEBARRE -The celebrated gipsy guitarist Angello Debarre will be performing at the Assembly Rooms on Wednesday, February 15 at 8pm. Tickets are £10 and available from the Rowan Tree Shop in the High Street or by telephoning 267163.
