LEADERS Hereford United will be bidding to make it three wins on the trot when they entertain much-fancied Morecambe at Edgar Street in the Nationwide Confer-ence on Saturday.

Jimmy Harvey's Lancashire outfit should prove a tough challenge for in-form Hereford who have scored eight goals in two matches.

The Shrimps finished runners-up in the division last season and have added to their squad during the summer with the signings from relegated Southport of former Hereford right-back Chris Lane and lively forward Dean Howell.

Morecambe slipped to a 1-0 defeat at Halifax on Tuesday, but Hereford boss Graham Turner said: "Morecambe are a very good side, who, like us, try to play some good football, so it should be an interesting encounter."

Meanwhile, Hereford's Conference clash with Dagenham & Redbridge at Edgar Street has been put back to Monday, October 13 for live television coverage on Sky Sports.
