A NEWLY-launched science club is providing fun and fascination for nine and 10 years olds at Kingsland Primary School.
There was great excitement when trainee teacher Maureen Kiff, who launched the after-school club, brought some palm-size Giant African Snails to school. Children were enthralled as the creatures crawled up their arms.
Another club session focused on pond-dipping to find out what creatures live in the pond in the school's conservation area. It's serious stuff involving the use of computers and microscopes.
"The aim is to encourage curiosity and make the children enthusiastic about science," said Miss Kif
