Hereford hip-hop heads had a treat on Friday when the best of local and national talent played to a packed out Scream Bar.

Task Force, one of the UK's best known hip-hop acts, brought a mix of club bangers, new songs from the forthcoming Music From The Corner Vol.4 and improvised freestyles.

Chester P, the younger of the two brothers from Highbury, North London, wowed the young crowd with an extended freestyle, touching on anything from the girls in the audience to anti-consumerism. Farma G, who had been hanging around, enjoying the support acts and talking to fans, brought his cool smooth flow, oiling the Task Force engine.

Home-grown heroes the Anomalies had the crowd bouncing, playing tracks well known to the Hereford crowd like Don't Txt Me Back and Word Association.

The vocal beatbox antics of Mouthmaster Murf left even the headliners impressed, good news as two of the Anomalies are moving to London this week to create some label interest in the capital.

But don't fear Anomalies fans, the group is staying together and will be playing at Scream again in June.
