Ledbury Town started brightly in this West Midlands premier division match at Tividale but soon found themselves a goal down.

TIVIDALE 4, LEDBURY TOWN 1

Following a corner kick in the 12th minute, Josh Skidmore fired home. In the 25th minute, Ledbury failed to deal with a low cross and Dave Robins scored to put the home side 2-0 up at half-time.

Ledbury put the pressure on in the second-half and were awarded a penalty. Nicky Welch fired the spot-kick in low but it hit the diving goalkeeper's legs and rebounded to safety.

Minutes later Tividale's Les Palmer was allowed a free header in the Ledbury box and he made it 3-0.

Ledbury won a free-kick almost on the half-way line and Nicky Welch blasted the ball home from 50 yards to make it 3-1.

Tividale made sure of the points when they were awarded a dubious-looking penalty. Les Palmer strode up and powered the ball past goalkeeper and man-of-the-match Adam McTear.

Tomorrow (Saturday), Ledbury Town visit Heath Hayes. A coach will leave New Street at 12.15pm.
