THE Ledbury RFC U12 team has had a busy start to the season and has played three fixtures on Sunday mornings.
The first game saw a well-deserved win of 47-7 against Bromyard U12s. All the team showed a great deal of enthusiasm and commitment, with Will Pinnell, Anthony Smith, Mike Nash and Henry Coleman being the pick of the players.
The second game saw a physically-strong Redditch team visit Ross Road with the Ledbury U12s suffering a defeat of 42-7. Ledbury showed great determination against a bigger side with Will Pinnell, Anthony Smith, Peter Dixon and Ben Smith coming to the fore.
This week Woodrush arrived at Ledbury RFC with a large and physically powerful squad. Ledbury U12s again played some very good rugby going forward, with good running and support play.
The team was greatly tested in defence but after a difficult start improved defensively before losing an excellent game 40-25.
The squad has certainly made improvements with regular Sunday training sessions and is always looking to add new players.
