Rainy weather is becoming something of a tradition for Ledbury's October Fair.
The opening night was rain-free for the grand opening. But in a similar fashion to last year, the heavens opened for the second night, though that did not prevent large crowds enjoying themselves in the town centre all evening.
The fair opened with the cutting of a ribbon in the High Street by Ledbury's mayor, Mary Cooper.
Beforehand, the council had hosted a tea party attended by members of the Rogers family, who bring the fair to town, Herefordshire Council representatives and other dignitaries.
There was a procession down Church Lane, led by town crier, Bill Turberfield.
Fairground rides and attractions took up most of Bye Street, Bye Street car park, all of the High Street and a large section of The Southend.
