A farmer's daughter from Much Marcle has won a prize as the best BSc Agriculture student in the final year at her university.
Heather Barker recently graduated from the Harper Adams University College, Shropshire, where she achieved top marks for an investigational project into horn and face fly problems in sheep.
Her efforts have won her a prize awarded by the Worshipful Company of Farmers. Course manager Robert Wilkinson said: "Heather's project was exceptionally well researched, executed and presented."
Miss Barker, who is now planning a working holiday to New Zealand and Australia, graduated with a first class Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture and animal science.
