Intruders at a remote Petty France farm, near Ledbury, badly damaged a lorry and smashed the padlock on a barn door but stole nothing.

The break-in was between noon on Friday and 7.30am on Saturday.

The offenders gained entry to a parked Iveco lorry by smashing the rear window of the cab.

Police believe the intruders then moved on the barn, where they broke off the lock.

PC David Hamilton, of Ledbury Police Station, is appealing for anyone who saw suspicious activity in the Petty France area at the time.

He suspects the incident most probably took place at night. He can be contacted on 08457 444888.
