NEARLY 60 members, including several new families to the village of Bromsberrow, joined in the fun at Bromsberrow Gardening and Social Club's summer garden party.

The Club Secretary Liz Simnett and her husband Alan

hosted the extravaganza, which was held on Thursday, July 14 - one of the hottest days of the year.

Members enjoyed a range of summer picnic foods in the tranquil setting of the Simnett's garden, washed down by Liz and Alan's Summer Cider bowl and homemade lemonade.

There was also a range of garden games and activities including boules and croquet.

Club Chairman Sara-Jane Watkins thanked Liz and Alan for their hospitality and for all of the members who helped arrange this wonderful evening.

The next gardening club meeting will be held on Thursday, August 11 at 7.30pm within Bromsberrow Village Hall.

The subject of the evening will be a talk by the Malvern Hills Conservators on the Natural History of the Malvern Hills.

All members are encouraged to attend the event and newcomers are always welcome.
