FIFTEEN-year-old Ben Stebbings posted a new record score for the Crusader Worcestershire County League Second Xl Division 1 when he hammered 176 for Kington 2nd against Alvechurch and Hopwood.
Stebbings smashed 29 fours and four sixes in his huge innings, sharing in a partnership of 308 with Ian Massey who, with an unbeaten 173, himself just missed out on equalling the previous league record - T Jordan of Hagley's 174 - as Kington raced to 401-4 from their 50 overs.
Rob Goodman then picked up 5-28 as Alvechurch were bowled out for 168.
