WITH time ticking away to the start of the season, Hereford United director of football Graham Turner still has some work to do to complete his squad before the first Nationwide Conference game at home to Scarbor-ough on August 13, writes Richard Prime.

But the Bulls chief has signed on England non-league international goalkeeper Wayne Brown on a season-long loan from Chester City.

"He's a very experienced lad who I've always thought to be a good goalkeeper," said Turner. "He will be in competition with Craig Mawson for the number-one jersey.

"Although, in theory, Chester could recall him during the season as he is on loan, given his current relationship with them that is very unlikely."

Hereford, who visited Bromsgrove Rovers last night, continue their pre-season programme at home to Notts County on Saturday and then play Aberystwyth Town away on Tuesday evening .
