WITH the football season once again almost upon us, Herefordshire Football Association football development officer Paul Carpenter has announced two new courses to take place in early September.
A level 1 certificate in coaching football course will take place from September 16-26.
The qualification which takes around 24-30 hours to achieve, spread over a number of days is assessed by oral and written projects.
A maximum of 16 places are available and applications are required by Friday, August 19.
The HFA are also holding a goalkeeping course for junior team coaches.
This will take place on September 4 and covers warm-up, handling, shot-stopping, footwork and agility, distribution and crossing and communication.
Free-standing FA child protection and best practice and emergency aid courses can be arranged subject to demand and a certificate in first aid for sport course will be arranged shortly.
